This summer, it’s your time to take your music to the next level in our Be In A Band Intensive. We will match you into a band with other players in your age group and along with our coaches, Marcel Gauthier and Stasia Zadolia, you will write an original song as a band. Creating the style of the song, your part, lyrics, and more in collaboration with your bandmates.
On Thursday you will go into the recording studio at our St. Albert location (12 minutes away from our North studio) to record your original song. Learn about the recording process, and witness your song being mixed and mastered with our Juno Nominated Producer, Sandro Dominelli.
You will learn how to upload your music to Spotify, iTunes, etc. Write a band bio and take photos of your group.
Then on Friday you will prepare for your performance in the evening at a local live music venue where you will perform your single to your friends and family.
This experience will take your playing and understanding of music to the next level.
Note: This summer camp is designed for students who can play a whole song on their instrument – or sing the lyrics to an entire song. This camp is not for beginner musicians.
On the Thursday of their camp week students must be able to be dropped off and picked up at our St. Albert recording studio.
On the Friday of their camp week students must be available to perform at 7pm at a local music venue.
